Side #1 is 100% fine washable wool fleece and side #2 is 100% wool fill quilted mattress pad. While it is NOT designed to be waterproof, it is designed to be an extra layer of protection for your mattress while providing you added benefits. The wool fleece side is perfect for the cold months. These super fine and soft fibers naturally insulate, breathe and wick away moisture from the skin, keeping you drier and more comfortable. The wool fiber, being "spring- like", will help relieve discomforts from pressure points and joints. Wool is the preferred choice as it eliminates allergies, over-heating and night sweats common to down, feathers, foam and synthetic fills. By the way, this natural fiber is said to be comparatively stronger than steel!!
